Workshops and Clinics

Workshops

The workshops that will be held during the Transitio_mx 03 Festival, Autonomies of disagreement, seek to examine the topics discussed during the Symposium, but resorting to a different presentation model. On the one hand, the workshops will focus on promoting the interaction between the audience and a number of well-known specialists with a view to better understanding the conceptual and practical contents of the discussed topics; on the other hand, they will inform about the activities and projects that are being developed by the participating artists while offering an introductory approach to their work. The workshops seek to create a space where knowledge and experiences can be shared, but also where visitors can mingle with the national and international speakers and artists participating in the different events of the festival. Workshops are an essential part of the Transitio_mx 03 Festival insofar as they enable a better understanding of the different topics and processes that will be analyzed during the Symposium. This they will achieve through a more interactive mode that seeks to offer effective spaces for discussion and disagreement, thus helping to build new horizons to place artistic-technological praxes.

Clinics

Clinics offer visitors the opportunity to become familiar with the most relevant aspects of the different topics discussed during the Symposium through the work developed by some of the speakers in their respective fields. They also seek to develop projects that analyze and offer new approaches to the relation between art and technology from different viewpoints, projects where the need to adjust the scope and sense of artistic-technological praxes is constantly present.

Moreover, clinics –understood as group sessions allowing an international exchange regarding the national artistic production– seek to establish a relation of exchange and dialogue between the national artistic production and the different curators, managers and artists participating in the festival.
