Free synthesis
The domain of free synthesis is that where everything is possible: the endless connections, the non-exclusive disjunctions, the non-specific conjunctions, the partial objects and the fluxes. Gilles Deleuze
The curatorial proposal seeks to create an inclusive platform where actions and production networks flow, and whose nucleus will be a laboratory that will conform an in continuum memory.
The Memory Lab is the starting point of the Free Synthesis project, which works as a space where all the processes and actions generated in the curatorship will be documented. The intention is to redimension that which is ephemeral of the performative-technological and counteract the staticity of the register, in other words, to explore the various possibilities of permanence and transformation in the documentation of the evanescent act. In this sense, an open device that allows a continuous flow of information will be built, making all kinds of archives available to the public: audiovisual, sound and textual.
Thus, the project is articulated from the aesthetic action; from which it is understood that any artistic practice, act or product is a way of relating to the world. From this premise, participation mechanisms will be generated and the action will be promoted in the benefit of community practices.
One of the main aspects of Free Synthesis is the collaboration of artists and audience for the final production of collective works, which will be presented in the final sessions of Transitio_MX. For that matter, workshops, interventions, actions and a scenic representation, which will be taken to the public space: plazas and streets next to the Centro de la Imagen and the Laboratorio Arte Alameda. By playing with the times of each activity, we seek to detonate a sequence based on the particularities of each activity that will be growing in intensity until reaching its climax by the last three days of the festival, creating a ludic and carnivalesque environment.
