Concert: Flight Practices
Throughout 2008 the Festival International Cervantino and the Centro Mexicano para la Música y las Artes Sonoras (CMMAS) carried out a program named Flight Practices (Prácticas de Vuelo). Its purpose was to provide a space of the highest academic level and to promote musical creation with new technologies. In this edition of the program, the selected composers created a series of works for the recorder and electroacoustic media. They collaborated closely with Horacio Franco and Rodrigo Sigal, composer and director of the Centro Mexicano para la Música y las Artes Sonoras. The concert at Transitio_mx 03 is the result of the work of these talented young composers with one of the most important interpreters internationally: Horacio Franco. This concert includes works by Alejandro Silva, Israel Sánchez, Pablo Rubio, Rafael Romo, Manuel Alejandro Gutierrez, Fernando Lomelí, Juan Marcial Martínez y Jerónimo Rachjenberg.
